The Disneyland in Paris is a whole world of adventure. The Disneyland in Paris is a huge complex that includes Disneyland Park and Walt Disney Studios Park, seven hotels, an entertainments center called Disney Village, a small village called Val, d Europe, as well as golf fields, tennis courts, and a children's football academy.
Disneyland is located 32km East of Paris on a 2000 hectares territory. The French Disneyland was founded in 1992 and is an exact copy of the US Disneyland. The park is divided into five main sections: Main Street U.S.A., Frontierland, Adventureland, Fantasyland and Discoveryland. Main Street U.S.A. is the principal street, that resembles an American street on the border of the 19th and 20th Centuries. Walt Disney cartoon characters stroll around casually, all the parades are held on this street, and this is also the place where Main Street station of the Disneyland railroad is located. In this zone you will be able to find 5 attractions, 15 stores, and 10 restaurants.
Fantasyland is the world of Peter Pan. 13 attractions await their guests here. There is also a theater, 7 stores, and 7 restaurants. In Fantasyland you can find yourself in the castle of the Sleeping Beauty, meet with Snow White and the seven dwarves, as well as make an acquaintance with Pinocchio. Frontierland is the world of the Wild West, cowboys, and Indians. There are 10 attractions in this section, the Chaparral Theater, a store and 5 restaurants. In Frontierland you will also find the Haunted Castle, a Fort with the heroes of the Wild West, and a farm with domestic animals. Guests can enjoy a ride on a ferry or in a canoe along the calm waters of the local lake.
Advetureland is the land of adventure, obviously. You will be able to meet with Robinson Crusoe, walk around a Far-East type bazaar, or take a boat trip on the river of the underground city.
Discoveryland is a place for insight and exploration. Many wish to travel in the time machine, others want to go to space, yet others explore the depths and mysteries of the ocean. There are 9 attractions in this section, a theater, 2 stores, and 2 restaurants.
Walt Disney Film Studio Park is divided into four sections: the shooting stage, Hollywood Boulevard, Toon Town, and the Backstage World. On the shooting stage you can see with your own eyes how movies are made. Hollywood Boulevard, as you probably guessed, is a replica of Hollywood Boulevard in Los Angeles. There are 3 stores here, a souvenir shop called Walt Disney Studio Store, the other store is called Studio Photo, and there is also a store of accessories from Hollywood movies called Legends of Hollywood. En Coulisse Restaurant and dozens of moving fast food shops called The Studio Catering Co. will ensure that guests are well catered for.
In Toon Town you will be able to find some of the most famous and interesting moments from Disney movies, as well as get a chance to draw your own animation. The World Backstage is a world of special effects, mind boggling rides on roller-coasters and crazy car races. There is also a souvenir shop and a restaurant located nearby.
Disney Village is located between the park and the hotels. This center is fulfilled in a purely American style – there are huge malls here, a museum-store of the famous Barbie doll, restaurants, bars, discos, and clubs that play the most diverse music.
During the Fall, Winter, and Spring seasons Disneyland in Paris is open from 10AM to 6PM Monday through Friday, and 9AM to 8PM on Saturdays, Sundays, and Holidays. In July and August the park is open from 9AM to 11PM every day. Regular buses routes are available between the hotels and the park. Buses circulate within 5-7 minutes intervals.
