Book Fair, Istanbul (November 1st – November 10th, 2009 )Back to the events listThe first book fair in Istanbul was organized in 1982. During that year there were 28 editors participating. Today the Istanbul book Fair hosts over 500 companies from all over the world, and the number of visitors exceeds 300 thousand people.
Turkish and international publishers alike participate in the Istanbul book fair, as well as sales agents, writers, translators, representatives of various NGOs and others. The expo features educational literarture, book about culture and art, fiction, science fiction and books for children, scientific journals, and more. The itinerary of the fair consists of conferences, meeting of authors and readers, poetic readings, and entertaining events for children. Back to the events list |
