The international food festival is conducted in Dijon, France since 1921. This is one of the largest and most popular events in its class – not just in Burgundy, but in all of France. The international food fest hosts around 550 participating companies, and the number of visitors normally exceeds 200 thousand people.
The main categories featured at the festival are: food, wines, local delicacies, restaurants, furniture, dishes and kitchen appliances, beauty and health products, games and multimedia.
Each year organizers invite honorable guests to the festival – professional cooks from different countries and regions (in 2008 the main themes of the Dijon festival was Thai food).
Another highlight of the Dijon International Food Fest is the "Lucullian Banquet Feast", an engaging act consisting of cooking shows hosted by professional cook, tastings and cooking contests.
The Festival is open from 10AM to 8PM. The entrance fee is 5 Euros.
