A festival of Olives and Olive Oil takes place every year in the city of Baena, Spain. This Andalusia holiday is famous for its wonderful olives and olive oil based products. Baena is called the capital of olives!
In November, when the crops are gathered, the towns people invite everyone to a traditional festival!
Once you arrive to Baena, you will be able to participate in tastings, watch how olive oil is extracted, and find out what can be prepared from olives. You absolutely must try the local food!
In addition, the festival of Olives in Baena features conferences, exhibitions, concerts and shows following the best traditions in the region.
The city also has numerous olive museums and we strongly advise you to visit at least some of them, if not all, in order to get a better understanding how this amazing products is grown and processed.
