Regardless of what people might say, even the word "chocolat" holds some kind of mystery and charm. And if the a chocolate salon is conducted in Paris, it will certainly become an embodiment of charm and romance. The event is conducted in the capital of France since 1995, attracting chocolatiers, representatives of famous candy and chocolate producers, small family business, and, of course, gourmands from all over the world.
The exhibition is there not only to familiarize visitors with the huge choice of products from different companies that make chocolate. The exhibition tells stories, unravels mysteries and puzzles of this exquisite delicacy, and shows its path from seeds of the cocoa tree to a chocolate desert. The exposition features cosmetic products as well: as you may already know chocolate and cocoa seeds oil is used as an ingredient in various creams, lotions, and other cosmetic products.
On the days of "Salon du chocolat" just about every hour features a presentation or seminar with tastings. Interesting facts about chocolate, the skills required for distinguishing its different blends, combinations with other products and its beneficial health effects, - this and much more can be learned during the presentations of the specialists.
Since Paris and fashion are inseparable, one of the main events of "Salon du Chocolat" is the shows of Chocolate Fashion. The chocolate fashion show is the brainchild of famous designers and confectioners, who create the most delicious (!) clothing and apparel.
The organizers of "Salon du Chocolat" did not forget about the youngest visitors. There will be chocolate shops open, where children can create their own decorations or sweet from chocolate.
Meanwhile, the grownup confectioners and pastry cooks will show the audience some of the unique recopies used for chocolate desserts. By the way, you are mistaken if you think chocolate is only served with desserts. Dark (bitter) chocolate is often added to second course meals and different sauces. And those who like spicy food will certainly enjoy chocolate with hot pepper.
