Visa to Italy

For visiting Italy one needs a standard Schengen visa.

Required Documents

  • A foreign passport, valid for at least 3 more month starting from the end of the trip;
  • The old foreign passport, if you have one;
  • A photocopy of the first page of the passport, with your personal information;
  • A photocopy of each page of the country ID (national passport), every side on a separate sheet;
  • 2 colored photos, must be taken recently, 3x4 cm without corners or rounded edges;
  • A questionnaire, filled out in English or Italian and signed personally by the applicant;
  • The original and the copies of two way airplane tickets, a reservation receipt is also acceptable if it has a official stamp from the ticket provider;
  • A confirmation of hotel reservation (original or fax), signed by the authorized person; an invitation from a private person, with the time of stay indicated, the nature of the visit, the address where you will be staying in Italy, the invitation must have the copy of the passport of the inviter attached;
  • Medical insurance for the Schengen (not less than 30 thousand Euros)
  • A certificate from your employer, showing your position, salary, period of employment, and also information about the fact that the applicant has obtained a paid vacation. The document must also contain the requisites of the company, the license number (if applicable), and the date of issuance;
  • For students: a certificate from the school/university, the student ID, a notary certified copy of the birth certificate, a certificate from the employer of the person who sponsors the trip and his agreement that he/she takes the responsibility for all costs of the trip
  • Documents which demonstrate that the applicant possesses sufficient funds for the period of the trip (50 Euro per day): a bank statement or travel checks.

The period of processing of the visa is at least 7 days.
