Visa to SpainTo obtain a visa to Spain the following documents are required:
- A foreign passport, valid for at least 4 month from the entry date;
- Photocopies, in A4 format (no cropping), of all the pages of the currently valid foreign passport (4 pages on each page, 2 on each side), in addition copies of all the pages in the passport (currently valid or old) containing visas, or other stamps or information for any countries visited in the past. The originals of the old passports are not necessary. If it is not possible to present the copies of the old passports it is necessary to present a certificate from the respective issuing authorities about the loss of the passport (for the absence of the copy of the currently valid foreign passport or incorrect photocopy a fee of €8 is incurred);
- Two colored photos 3,5x4,5 cm;
- A questionnaire from the embassy with the photocopy of the first page of the foreign passport’s first page containing all the personal information of the applicant;
- A photocopy, A4 format (no cropping), of those pages of the national passport that contain any information or stamps;
- A certificate from the employer with the position and salary specified (for private entrepreneurs: a copy of the registration of the business, and an income statement)
- A copy of the receipt for currency purchase (for tourists holding passports without Schengen visas this is required), the amounts expected are 50 Euros per person for each day of stay in Spain. Alternatively you can present a copy of an international debit or credit card and a bank statement from a Euro account with the respective amounts.
- A certificate from the place of study (school, university) and the requisites of the school (for persons holding a personal passport)
For tourist who do not have any previous Schengen visas in the current passport:
- Photocopies of all pages of the previous foreign passport with Schengen visas, issued before the applicant obtained a new passport.
- For applicants who intend to visit a Schengen country for the first time it is necessary to present documents that prove the financial health of the applicant (such as bank statements, or statement of real estate ownership or other such documents)
For persons holding two foreign passports:
- Photocopies of all the pages of the second passport
For unemployed women:
- A certificate from the husband’s employer with the position and salary indicated, and also the husband’s agreement for sponsoring the trip
- For single women – a document demonstrating the financing of the trip, and the certificate from the employer of the person sponsoring the trip.
For students:
- A certificate from the school/university
- For a trip without parents – a document demonstrating the financing of the trip, and a certificate from the employer of the person sponsoring the trip
