A new hotel opened in Ibiza Apr 18, 2009Spanish company Fuenso, owner of Hospes Hotels, announced the launching of a new brand –Quilibra Hotels. The first hotel in the chain, Quilibra Aguas, opened recently in the famous Ibiza. At the root of the Quilibra concept is the challenge of combining modern technology and environmentalism using methods of contemporary eco-design in order to create natural and comfortable living conditions. Quilibra Aguas is located in Santa Eulalia del Riu, a 15 minutes drive from the Ibiza airport. The hotel has 36 rooms and 76 suites with a view of the sea. Original architecture, spacious rooms, modern design elements and all natural materials provide the hotel with distinctiveness quite worthy of its scale, informs Breaking Travel News.
The environmental principles are maintained in every detail –energy-smart ventilation system, electro-cars, green gardens, and minimal use of plastic for interior design. The hotel also has three swimming pools, a spa-center which actively uses the rejuvenating sea water, a gym, and a Sezone Restaurant serving guests with classic Ibiza cuisine. Soon Quilibra will become a full scale five-star hotel chain, with the same prices as Hospes. The second hotel in the chain will open in the Spanish town of Murcia somewhere in 2010. Following that Quilibra branded hotels will open in Northern Europe, the Middle East, and USA.
