A new pavilion at the Marineland Theme Park in Antibes, France May 02, 2009A marine theme park called f, located in Antibes, Southern France, plans to invest a large sum in the construction of new pavilions. One of the innovations Marineland talks about with much pride and self-satisfaction is a pavilion dedicated to Antarctica, which is unprecedented in Europe. The area of the pavilion which will be located in the old restaurant will be 350 square meters. There will be artificial ice inside in order to create a comfortable environment for a colony of Imperial penguins. Very low air temperature will be artificially supported in the pavilion. The construct will be isolated with a glass wall, 25 meters long and 3 meters high. Through the looking glass visitors will be able to observe different species inhabiting the pavilion, writes TourMaG.com.
Last year 1,1 million people visited Marineland. Park management forecasts a 5-10% increase in the numbers of visitors for 2009 fiscal year. Back to news
