Emilia-Romanga invites you to the "Pink Night-2009"May 07, 2009
During the night from the 4th to the 5th of July, on the Adriatic coast of the Emilia-Romagna region the "Pink Night" will take place. This is one of the biggest summer holidays in Italy. On the territory of the local Riviera, which streches out for about 110 kilometers, hundreds of interesting events will be held, including: fashion shows, concerts, theater shows, famous artists' exhibitions. Beaches, erstaurants, stores, boutiques, and night clubs will be open until the middle of the next day. And at midnight hour the whole coast will be lightened by a fountain of colorful fireworks.
Pink symbolizes love and strong emotions. The monuments, palaces, squares and alleys of the beautiful coastal towns will be decorated with pink neon lighting. "Pink" Specials await guest in the restaurants. All the coastal towns in Emilia-Romagna will participate in the event, including: Ravenna, Rimini, Riccione, Catolica, Comacchio, Cervia, and others. The celebration of the "Pink Night" will also be taking place in the Rpublic of San Marino. Last year the event registered around 1,5 million visitors, as reported in the Emilia-Romagna tourist review periodical press release.
An additional event will take place this year called "Awaiting for the Pink Night", and during the days preceeding the holiday many towns on the Adriatic Riviera will host various spacial events. For example on the 1st of July in Remini there will be a music and literature festival called Assalti al cuore. And in Bellaria and Igea Marina a kids' "Pink Night" will take place. The program features special entertaining events for small children.
