The capital of Italy invites tourists to concentrate their attention on the Roman forum this summer. The premier of a play dedicated to the life and work of Michelangelo will take place here. The Miracle Players, an English speaking theater troupe, will present its rather frivolous view of the life and destiny of the great painter and sculptor – Michelangelo. Frequent visitors of Rome already know that the Miracle Players have been entertaining theater fans with their comedy setups for some time now. The advertizing brochures for the Michelangelo show describe the event in the following manner: “This man is so famous that he doesn’t need to say his last name. He’s like the singer Cher without the fancy haircut.” The whole play lasts about 40 minutes, during which four actors present an unusual view of the most noteworthy moments in the life of the master, who left the forthcoming generations with amazing masterpieces, such as the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, and the sculpture of David.

The opportunity to view this show in the surroundings of the ruins of the Roman forum will present itself on Friday, August 7th. The show is scheduled to begin at 7:30 PM. A special atmosphere is created due to the fact that the majestic building is located in the very heart of Rome. It was particularly this building, the Roman forum, which marked the center of the Eternal city, as Rome was built to surround it and create one of the greatest civilizations throughout human history.
