As of July, Galeries Lafayette proudly declares the opening of world's biggest "New Shoes Department" at the Paris Haussmann mall. 6000m2 (3200 of which is sales floor space) are fully dedicated to the world of shoes. Galeries Lafayette guarantees a wide choice of products in a promising and quickly developing market, following fashion trends and the courage of innovation, both in Paris and regionally. Since its inception, Galeries Lafayette reiterates the spirit of the times through a constantly renewable collection of brands, starting with the most accessible and finishing with the most prestigious, both French and international. This fashion, alive and multifaceted, is at the center of Galeries Lafayette's attention and finds a reflection in every department: women's, men's children's, cosmetics, or accessories, as well as in the departments of household items and food.

3200m2 of sales floor space, 150 brand names, of which 75 are exclusive, a team of experts and consultants in the shoe business…: the Paris Haussmann mall will offer an original selection, that will surely diversify the world of shoes with a range of products from the most accessible to the most elite, and from the most classic to the most unusual. The floor space was organized in five styles: fashionable, modern, urban, luxury, and elite. The idea was born by Jouin Manku agency and developed in close collaboration with a team of designers from Galeries Lafayette. Viewed from the lower level of the first floor of the main wing of the "Coupole" mall, the new department takes the form of a true theater of shoes, whose purpose is to open customers to a new, previously unknown side of shopping.

In the authentic spirit of the "Salon", our customers will have the opportunity to discover the world of shoes, delivered under a sign of luxury, innovation, design and fashion, and simultaneously take advantage of exclusive services, such as individual consultation, a separate, closed fitting room, which allows trying on the selected pair of shoes without any witnesses, the services of a pedicure salon, a shoe-master, a restaurant, or even shopping assistants.

Due to its extensive experience and competency in developing proprietary trademarks in the market for dresses and accessories, which comprises around 15% of the whole sales volume at Galeries Lafayette, the house brand will be launched in September under the name "Galeries Lafayette Paris". Following the spirit of fashion during the selection of colors and materials, the new brand will make choices that favor the guarantee of quality and offer women and men, a wide range of shoes selections, which will place creativity, classics, and leisure on a special level, preserving, the same time, a high level of price competitiveness.
