Fairy Tale Festival in Rome Aug 15, 2009From the 18th until the 20th of September there will be a festival in Rome, dedicated to storytelling, particularly of fairy tales. The first festival of fairy tellers will give people an opportunity to hear stories rooted in traditions, myths, and legends. There will be 19 fablers participating in the festival from different countries. Most of them will be telling stories in Italian, the rest will be narrating in English.
The shows will be held in five largest city squares of Rome. The stories will include both traditional motives and themes, as well as improvised variants. In addition to fairy tales there will be other events at the festival, including theatrical scenes, bed time stories for children, and music shows where musicians will have a chance to improvise with the composition of soundtracks for the fairy tales. Also, during the festival there will be a number of social seminars held for both children and adults.
