Professionals of VIP-tourism to gather in Cannes Aug 28, 2009From 7th to 10th of December, 2009 – Cannes, France, will host the 8th International Luxury Travel Market. This is a yearly B2B format expo and it brings together over 3,600 professionals from the luxury sector of the tourism industry. One of the most eagerly awaited participants of the event is, f course, Mardan Palace Hotel from Turkey. The most expensive hotel which opened this May in Antalya is also expected to soon become the best place to spend a vacation on the Mediterranean. The expo is proud to welcome the tourism committees from Saint Barthélemy Island (France), Jamaica, and Dominican Republic; companies like Royale Indian Rail Tours, Soho House Group; and hotels like Domaine de Luxe, Ayanna Resort & Spa, Tiara Hotels and Resorts.
Companies and organization that made their debut at the ILTM 2008 expo will be featured this year as well: Small Luxury Hotel of the World, Six Senses Resorts and Spa, Qatar Tourism and Exhibition Authority, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, Kempinski, Hilton Prestige Portfolio, Concorde Hotels and Resorts, as well as the Italian and Brazilian tourism committees. The importance of the event is highlighted by the presence of The Leading Hotels of the World association, which received the status of "Platinum" member. Getting to know the participants and their offers, as well as exchanging experience during the business programs of the expo will be possible for over 1,200 invited guest managers and agents in the area of luxury tourism. According to last year's statistics, 84% of the expo guests were interested in tourist packages ranging between €50,000 and €5,000,000; 52% of which were carried through during the following year.
