An exposition dedicated to Brigitte Bardot opened in Paris Oct 04, 2009The first exposition in history dedicated to actress, singer, and model Brigitte Bardot, has been opened in Boulogne-Billancourt, the nearest Paris suburb. Bardot, who has recently turned 75, could not come to the opening – the actress suffers from arthritis for quite some time now and has to walk on crutches. But in an interview with the French television Bardot confessed: "I'm proud of the fact that there is an exposition dedicated to me and my work, people will be able to find out what my life was really like." The exposition is called "Brigitte Bardot. The carefree years." And tells the story of the most successful years of the actresses life. It includes 2 thousand exhibits: photographs, movies, memorable gifts and dresses of the star, informs AFP.
The exposition also features a portrait of Brigitte Bardot by Andy Warhol, which was given as a present by the third husband of the actress - German millionaire, Gunter Sachs. You can also see the cotton dress that the actress wore to her second wedding with actor Jaques Charrier. The organizers of the event have not passed by their attention the most famous wedding of the actress, that with Roger Vadim. It was Roger Vadim, who filmed young Brigitte in "And God Created Woman" (1955), instantly turning her into a super star and sex symbol of France. The exposition will be held at the Espace Landowski museum until January 31st. The entry ticket costs 11 Euros. Back to news
