Benidorm bans drinkingNov 25, 2008City council of Benidorm, a resort city to the east of Spain, passed measures that maintain a favorable image of the city.
Sale and consumption of alcoholic drinks, sitting on the beach between midnight and 7 am, ball games outside designated areas, cooking or lighting fires are forbidden.
The city council, which is controlled by Spain's Conservative Party, passed about 70 measures that mandate fines of up to 750 euro for violations. Back to news
