In 2013 a new exhibition center will open in Bordeaux. The exhibition center will introduce visitors to the wines of the region. The presentation of the project has taken place in November of this year during a travel meeting of the Bordeaux mayor with the local winemakers.

According to the project plan, the exhibition center will become a symbol of the region and will help attract attention to the history of local wines, as well as exert influence upon the wine culture as a whole. In addition to the above, the opening of this exhibition center will create the potential to increase the profitability of other economic sectors of the Bordeaux region, including winemaking and tourism.

The exhibition center occupies a total space of 10 000 square meters, and the whole center is located near the Garonne river on a territory of 35 000 square meters. It is expected that the center will be able to receive somewhere around 400 000 visitors per year. People can arrive to the exhibition center either by car, or by tram, or by bicycles.
