Italian museums are waiting for all "in love with art" on February 14 Feb 10, 2010Visitors can enjoy half-price tickets to the Italian state museums, monuments of culture, archeological dig sites and many exhibitions on February 13 and 14. You will just have to go there together. The state program "In love with art" is held in Italy for the fourth time already, the portal "Russian Italy" reports. This year the special offer is valid for the entire holiday weekend, and the discounts will be available not only for couples in love but for all couples: husband and wife, fiancé and fiancée, father and son or two friends, just come together and pay for one. Do not forget that those who are under 18 or older than 65 are exempt from paying the fee.
The entire list of museums supporting the event will be announced on Wednesday by the Ministry of culture of Italy. But it's already known that for example in the capital a couple in love will be able to visit Coliseum, Forum, underground basilica of Maggiore or Balbi Crypt using just a ticket for one. In Lazio region there are also Orazio Villa in Licenza and Villa Farnese in Caprarola that take part in the project. Residents and visitors of Campania region, who decided to have a cultural weekend, also have dozens of opportunities to save: from the National Archeological Museum in Naples, Blue Grotto in Capri to the museum of ancient Pompeii and Palace of Caserta.
Uffizi Gallery in Florence and Capella Bacci in Arezzo also take part in the project in Tuscany region of Italy. In Umbria region this is a national gallery of Perugia. In Apulia region they are the Roman amphitheater in Lecce and Svevo Castle of Trani. In Piedmont there are Egyptian Museum and the Sindone Chapel in Turin and the Royal Castle of Racconigi in Cuneo. In Liguria it's the castle in Lerici and the gallery of Royal Palace in Genoa.
In Abruzzo it's the Piccolomini Castle, re-opened after the last year's earthquake. In Veneto there are many sights of Venice: from Academy Gallery to the Golden House and Villa Del Bene in Verona. In Emilia Romagna there is the Torrechiara castle in Parma, the house of Giovanni Pascoli in Forli and the church of Saint Apollinaris in Ravenna.
