Jazz music festival in Emilia Romagna Feb 15, 2010

The 11th famous mobile Jazz Music Festival "Crossroads" will start in the region Emilia Romagna. It will last for three months and there will be concerts held in 20 cities of this region, including Bologna, Ferrara, Piacenza, Rimini, Modena and Ravenna. Visitors will hear and will see the world famous musicians, playing jazz and other similar in style music.

The festival will start on February 27th in Piacenza with a concert of famous jazz trombonist Roswell Rudd who plays amazing music. Right after that jazz lovers will have to move to Casalgrande, for the main event of the festival on the February 28th - the duet of the trumpet jazz player Paolo Fresu, from Sardinia, and American guitarist Ralph Towner.

Among other world jazz celebrities who will take part in the festival, there are Mingus Dynasty Band from the U.S.A. and Italian Lydian Sound Orchestra, American jazz drummer Ray Mantilla and saxophonist Bobby Watson, trio by jazz double bassist Eddie Gomez, Italian guitarist Franco Cerri, pianist Enrico Intra and the wonderful jazz drummer Roberto Gatto.
