The zoo in Paris' Vincennes woods on the eastern side of Paris, closed in 2008 for a major reconstruction, must be reopened in 2014. Zoo renovation and rebuilding will cost the budget 133 million euro. The renovated zoo in Paris' Vincennes woods will feature the most modern and advanced tendencies of the 21st century. Its visitors will not feel separated from animals and will not notice cages and other protective barriers, communicating with the zoo inhabitants in their natural environment. The authors of the project state that their zoo will fascinate everyone with its beauty. The special attention during its rebuilding was paid to the safety of visitors and workers of the zoological park, comfort for animals and all the regulations in ecology.
It will be possible to see the animals in their usual ecological systems. The territory of the zoo will be divided in several biological zones, such as Patagonia, Sahel-Sudan, Europe, Guinea, Amazon, Madagascar, Australia, and equinoctial Africa. In the largest zone Sahel-Sudan there will be rhinoceroses, zebras, lions and other animals of deserts and savannas in their natural habitat. The management of the zoo also keeps on working on protection of disappearing species of animals and birds. Its renovated scientific labs will become ones of the best in Europe. The tentative entrance fee for adults will be 13.66 euro.
