Mountain bike hotel soon to be built in Italy with easy access on bikeApr 26, 2010The architects Modest Schambelan and Anton Fromm presented a project of a mountain bike hotel where bikers will be comfortable to stay. The hotel will be built in Pregasina, Italy near the Southern Alps. The hotel will cling to the side of a mountain, approximately 500 meters above the northern tip of Lake Garda, the biggest lake in Italy. The total square of its surface is 370 sq km and its depth is 346 m. Lake Garda is protected from cold winds, the coastal zone of the lake characterizes by mild climate and rich flora of the Mediterranean type. There are resorts located along the banks of the lake.
The location has stunning views and is located on pretty busy bike routes. The building will consist from separate units, comfortable for accommodation of the tired travelers and their bikes and sports equipment.
There are access roads for each sector, built at angle of 12 degrees, so the room can be accessed on a bike. However, taking into consideration the significant height where the hotel is located, the access roads were fenced by metallic sheathes for safety of visitors. The total square of the hotel is 1500 sq m.
