Hotel with a new concept for hospitality opens in MilanJun 24, 2010The Permanent Hospitality Spaces (PHS) is a new concept for hospitality developed in Milan. One of these hotels has been recently opened at the address 33, Via Goldoni Street. The designer Alessandro Rosso and the architect Simone Micheli worked together to put the travelers to the very heart of life in Milan. Their point of view at modern hotels totally makes all the stereotypes of what a hotel is, such as a lobby, stairs, elevators, and corridors, disappear. According to the plan of Rosso and Micheli, individual rooms overlook the city streets, and each room has an entrance directly from the window facing the street. The doors in this hotel are electronically controlled by a keypad. One receives a reservation number as a code when booking online.
'When you travel alone and you're in room 1032 on the 16th floor of the hotel, you feel isolated. According to my project, that broke all the popular stereotypes, your room will become a part of city life', Alessandro Rosso, the author of the concept, said. This newly opened hotel has only four rooms. Three of them occupy an area of 35 square meters each, except for one room, which is about 50 square meters. The rooms are like apartments with a wardrobe, bathroom and kitchen area, complete with everything necessary for a comfortable stay.
Four rooms differ in color. There are red, green, orange and yellow suites. All rooms have unique sets of designer furniture. The cost of accommodations at the PHS hotel is from 150 euro per night. Back to news
