The Canary Islands International Jazz FestivalJun 29, 2010The opening of the XIX Canary Islands International Jazz Festival will take place on July 9th. Concerts of famous jazz musicians from all over the world will be held at 5 islands of the Canaries: Tenerife, Gran Canaria, La Palma, Lanzarote and Fuerteventura. The concerts devoted to the opening of the festival will take place in Tenerife, Gran Canaria and Lanzarote. All the information on the festival is available from the official web-site of the event in two languages, Spanish and English. There you can learn more about the history of the festival, as well as find out the detailed schedule of concerts on all days and at all islands, information about musicians who take part in the project and much more.
In terms of the XIX Canary Islands International Jazz Festival there will be held 22 concerts, 13 of which are free (tickets for the rest of the concerts are now already available for purchasing). Apart from the concerts, there will be 2 master-classes held for musicians playing jazz. They will be carried out by the members of Miguel Zenon Quartet at Gran Canaria and Tenerife on July 12th and 13th respectively.
