Discount fares on high-speed trains in ItalyJul 04, 2010Italian railway operator now offers special discounts on high-speed trains Frecciarossa and Frecciargento only when purchasing the tickets not less than a month before the date of departure. Prices are €19 or €39 for a second-class one-way ticket and €69 for a first-class one-way ticket between Rome and Milan, Venice, Turin, Verona, Padua, Brescia, Udine, Bolzano, Lamezia Terme, Villa San Giovanni and Reggio Calabria. You can travel from Milan to Rome, Naples or Salerno.
Besides that, train tickets for only 19 euro or 25 euro for a second class and 35 euro for a first class are available for trips from Rome to Foggia, Barletta, Bari, Brindisi, Lecce, Bisceglie, Fasano, Molfetta, Monopoli, Ostuni and Trani.
The tickets must be purchased at least 30 days prior the designated departure date and the number of seats in the train is limited. You can only use the train you booked. Ticket change and refund is not allowed. The offer is valid until September, 30th.
