Turkish Antalya had 3,764,000 tourists for the first 6 months of 2010 which is 17% more than for the similar period of time last year. According to the data of the Department of Culture and Tourism of this region reports, just in June the airports of Antalya received 1,411,000 visitors. According to the president of the Tourist Hoteliers Association (AKTOB) Sururi Çorabatir this data reflect the positive dynamics of development of tourism. The citizens of the Eastern Europe and Middle East show a special interest in Antalya resorts.

"Besides that, we are glad that more and more French and British tourists choose our country for vacation. We are hoping to reach the number of 10,000,000 tourists by the end of the season", Sururi Çorabatir said. Speaking of revenue of the touristic field, he mentioned that the fall of euro rate had a negative influence on the revenue of the touristic business that decreased at 15% at least. "The statistical data on the number of foreign visitors are as much good, as the fall of foreign currency rate is unbeneficial. The increase in the cost of touristic products has a negative influence on the development of tourism", Sururi Çorabatir concluded.
