The Italians choose hotels and beaches with Wi-Fi Internet access more and more often, Il Giornale reported on Sunday. Such necessary items on vacation as laptops and iPad have been added to the set of beach accessories lately. The number of the Italians who are able to spend their vacation without getting on Facebook and generally without the Internet has been decreasing dramatically while the beaches that don't have hot spots have been losing the visitors. In connection with this, the owners of beaches have invested 15,000 euro to provide their customers with a free Internet access. The beaches of Liguria on the north-west of Italy are the most "innovative", because the vacationers are guaranteed to receive not only free internet access there, but also a possibility to rent a laptop.

The recently carried out research has shown that only 1% of the Italians are ready to go on vacation for a month, having left the laptop and other devices at home, while 68% refuse to stay at hotels and beaches that don't have hot spots. 37% of respondents would like to have a constant Wi-Fi Internet access.
