Turkey is in speleotourism top-ten Dec 08, 2008Turkey took the 8th place in top-ten of the most speleotourist attracting countries. Last year 776 thousands of people participated in tours in 24 caves, among them 215 thousands of tourists from other countries. Mostly opened caves are situated in Average Anatoliy, on Black Sea coast and on the Mediterranean coast – in Antalya, Mersin, Zunguldak, and Sinop areas.
Nowadays Ministry of Culture and Tourism of Turkey triggered a project according to which 241 cave will become available to tourists. In the course of the project realization technical security will be provided. Back to news
