New Year’s charm, traditions and modern timesDec 12, 2008Music, songs and traditional torch procession, food delicatessen, elite wines and lots of fun – here is how they celebrate New Year’s in Valdostana style. Apart from delicious local cuisine in restaurants, Alps region offers tourists the opportunity to celebrate New Year’s Eve in a special way: on villas and in restaurants in mountains where you can get only by rope-way cars or in sledge, by jeep or skiing. It’s a good choice for a group of friends or a family with kids or couples who will wish to spend the last days of the year away from the city. Snowy mountain landscape is charming.
Traditional torch procession, walks on the square at the moon light and concerts... You will see a light show organized by deejays and the ice ring opening. There will be fireworks and live music in La Tuille. You can spend one evening next to the fireplace in a small village called Shamua, and listen to the music, drink mulled wine and enjoy the festive procession of ski men on the central square of the village.
Most noisy celebrations will take place in Sen Vensan. You will hear live music, singers from the Colorado Café and you will see a laser show accompanied with music. You will get the opportunity to see the performance of a modern group called Dari (ANSA) on the central square of Aosta and to open a traditional bottle of sparkling wine. Back to news
