Best botanical gardens of Brittany feature rare plants and landscape designDec 17, 2008Travel bureau of Brittany, region of France, issued a list of best gardens that are worth seeing during winter or summer vacations. Roscoff Exotic Garden is considered to be one of the most beautiful gardens according to the committee. This dendropark is situated in coastal zone. Thanks to Gulf stream, the climate in this part of the world is good for 3 000 kinds of tropical plants. Some plants have a longer blossom time in this area than in some other places further from the coast. Besides diverse flora, visitors of the gardens will enjoy waterfalls, lakes, stones and the vicinity of Morle Bay.
Not far away from the park you will find another pride of Brittany - Georges Delaselle Gardens. It has a palm forest in it with the rarest plants. If you get to see Ille-et-Vilaine, visit two botanical gardens. Broceliande is famous for its amazing collection of iris and dahlia. In Montmarin garden you can visit an ancient castle and see several historical monuments and landscape design. Yves Rocher is also worth seeing.
