Wine-cellar and a caseDec 19, 2008A luxurious hotel in Milan opens a wine-cellar. It's a cellar, special storehouse where permanent guests will be able to store their bottles of red, white wines and champagne. In spring, Town House Galleria Hotel located in a stylish historical building of Galleria Vittorio Emanuele, is set to feature wine-cellars in the form of caves with zones of different light and temperature. Guests will not only be able to store their wine bought at different places but will also be able to purchase famous brands of wine and champagne in wine-cellars of the hotel. “This is for the comfort of our guests. They travel, they like to buy wine in Italy and this way they will be able to store wine here during their stay”, says Elisa Del Bosco, customer service manager of the hotel.
The rose case by Carl Lagerfeld with six bottles of vintage champagne Dom Perignon is for sale in the hotel now. It has one bottle of rose champagne Dom Pérignon 1966 Rosé, two bottles of 1986 and three bottles of 1996. The case with wine is decorated with perch skin on the outside, but on the inside it’s covered with a very thin lamb skin. The price for the case that also includes glasses is 100, 000 euro ($143, 800). A buyer will also be offered an additional dinner and wine-testing. Mrs Elisa Del Bosco also says that the case with wine has been very popular. Back to news
