Touristic administration of Palma de Majorca is ready to pay 8.4 million U.S. dollars to the famous tennis player Rafael Nadal. The world number one tennis ace will take an active part in the promotion of this travel destination. Even with the economic crisis, such championships like French Open and Wimbledon are still popular, prestigious and attractive to tourists. Nadal will spend some days of his vacation recording a promotional video for a new campaign. Officials hope that a tennis player with a world wide known name will increase the popularity of the island and improve the image of it among tourists.

The tourism minister of Palma de Majorca has already approved one of the main mottoes of the campaign “Best tennis player of the world encourages having rest at the best resort of Europe”. The target audience of the new promotional campaign will include the residents of Great Britain, Germany and Spain. According to the tennis player who considers the island his motherland, you will really find here everything you want except for skiing.
