Snow at ski resorts in Turkey – almost all hotels booked Jan 14, 2009It snowed for over a week in Turkey, now all mountains are covered in snow and that’s what you need if you came to Turkey for skiing. The height of the snow in Uludag reaches approximately 2.45 meters, in Kartepe – 1.5 meters, in Erciyes 0.78 meters, in Palandoken 0.35 meters, in Saklikent 0.45 meters, in Davraz 0.6 meters. The director of Dedeman hotel in Palandoken, Tahsin Kilinboz, announced that hotels are 95% booked in the area.
Mr Kilinboz also mentioned that the biggest part of tourists arrive from Russia, Ukraine and Iran.
Camkar hotel is 60% booked, Kardelen hotel is 50% booked. But the only 5 star hotel in Kartepe is 75% booked. The official from the hotelier union of Ilgaz mountain, Erai Ozturk, announced that all the hotels were fully booked for New Year’s. Hotels are also already reserved for mid-term vacations.
