Google experts created a virtual model of Ancient RomeNov 13, 2008Google search engine experts created three-dimension virtual model of Ancient Rome. Every person can view it on the internet in every corner of the planet. Presentation of the project “Google Earth” took place on Wednesday, in Eternal City.
The next step, as Rome authorities assume, will be creation of special masks that will allow seeing Ancient Rome ruins, as they were 2000 years ago, as in a three-dimension movie. Tourists will be given these masks at the entrance to the sightseeing places in Italy.
On Monday, in a newly renovated movie theater next to Coliseum they will be showing a three-dimension movie about the era of Maxentsii Emperor from the beginning of the 4th century... in comparison with virtual architectural map of Google there are characters in the movie – Emperor, senators, gladiators. A 30-minute long movie is presented in 8 languages, including Russian. Back to news
