Chartered programs in Cagliari, Sardinia this summer will extend through September. Jet Travel press secretary, Maxim Pristavco, announced this Monday that Russian airline “Aeroflot” will service the route this season. In May of 2003 the company organized the first chartered program to Cagliari, Sardinia in the history of Russian tour-business. United efforts with a pool of operators, including Pak Group, Carlson Tourism, and Assent Travel, speaks for the best of the future of this chartered program.

A few days ago “Aeroflot” was chosen to service the routes from Moscow to Cagliari. Pristavco said that they provide the best Saturday morning booking slots for their travelers, but what is also important is that they offer an “Airbus 319” board with 16 business class passenger seats. According to Pristavco the most noteworthy is the season showing tendencies to extend through September.

The summer Season in Sardinia and other beach destinations gradually engulfs the mid to end September. As agency associate has noted last year the bookings during the September period were considerably higher than those in July and that’s why the chain will be extended through the autumn. “Regardless of this extension” - said Pristavco “The season will still start in July” Pristavco also mentioned that price of one seat this year will be 10 to 15 percent lower than in previous year. And in addition to that the variety of accommodation options will increase in the season of 2009 due to new offers from cottages, small villas and similar comfortable housing. Demand for such accommodation in Sardinia grows each year, added Pristavco.

The director of “Tour-Parade” airline company Natalya Emilianova also confirmed the tendency of the September season shift. “Our company sends tourist with its chartered programs on direct flights to Sardinia since 2006. Last summer’s experience and data proves that the season showed signs of extension into the month of September. We connect these changes to the fact that during the so-called velvet-season the prices for hotel accommodation drop; while the weather remains pleasant enough for at least 2 more months. The Interfax Tourism portal was also informed that the company plans to extend this season with at least two more September flights.
