Tibidabo Entertainment Park is ready to receive visitors of all agesMar 05, 2009If you decided to visit Barcelona, Spain with your family in the near future then you will have the perfect opportunity to visit one of the most famous theme parks in Europe, Tibidabo. After its reconstruction, which ended February 28th, it is ready once again to receive visitors of all ages. The park’s program this year promises to be more interesting than ever. The owners are planning to launch a series of new attractions and games for all ages and a wide range of educational activities designed specifically for children. Starting in April, the theme park will be an interesting place not just for young visitors but for the grown-ups and the elderly, too. Tibidabo opens a new set of programs for the latter including drawing lessons, sight-seeing, and ecotourism-type activities. But the main attraction in 2009 will certainly be the new rollercoaster rides.
For those who cannot resist such mindboggling offers we suggest trying the 80 km/h ride, stretching over 718 meters. On some of the swings the brave will find themselves 522 meters above Barcelona. The Tibidabo Park got its name from the mountain on top of which it is located and one of the best ways to get there is using the funicular. On the way you can witness some amazing views of the mountain and the city of Barcelona. This particular method of getting to the Park is much more romantic compared to the banal bus ride from downtown. And if, for some reason, you remain unimpressed by the Tibidabo attractions there is always a chance to go to the other most famous theme park called Port Aventura. The Tarragon region is the home of Port Aventura and one of the most popular destinations for one-day travel from Barcelona.
